It’s M2.

“You know you’re not supposed to be out of bed,” she chides.

I shoot her a scathing glare, and immediately feel another wave of nausea.

“Come on, let me help you up.”

She hoists me over her shoulder and back onto the mattress. She slaps a thermo-skin on my forehead, and notes my temp in a medical log book.

“That’s good,” she whispers to herself. Then, to me: “How are you feeling?”

“Like my guts got turned inside out.”

“And?”

“And what?”

“What about your desire to go back?”

Oh. That.

“I’m…clear-headed. That’s…how did you guys figure it out?”
