Chapter 340: Mors Immatura, or In Defense of Death

In Uncategorized on December 6, 2011 at 2:57 am

I’ve never wanted to live “a long, full life.” My parents loved to wax on about the “long, full life” my grandmother had, but all I can remember of that woman was the pain she suffered through and the pain she caused to others.

My mother doted on her, made us visit daily. Until the day that my addled Nana turned to me and called me by my mother’s name.

I never want to be a burden like she was. I’ve done enough of that.

The longer I hang on, the harder it will be for me to let go.
